حدثنا أبو اليمان أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري قال حدثني سالم بن عبد الله أن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال سمعت رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم يقول لا حسد إلا علی اثنتين رجل آتاه الله الکتاب وقام به آنائ الليل ورجل أعطاه الله مالا فهو يتصدق به آنائ الليل والنهار

صحیح بخاری:جلد سوم:حدیث نمبر 17     حدیث مرفوع    مکررات 6 متفق علیہ 4  

 ابوالیمان، شعیب، زہری، سالم بن عبداللہ ، عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ کسی شخص پر ریس کرنا سوائے دو شخصوں کے جائز نہیں، ایک وہ شخص جسے اللہ نے کتاب دی اور وہ اٹھ کر اسے رات کو پڑھتا ہے اور وہ ایک شخص جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے مال دیا اور وہ دن رات اسے اللہ کی راہ میں صدقہ کرتا ہے۔

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: 

Allah's Apostle said, "Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day."

Sahih bukhari, Volume 3, Hadith No 17

حدثنا أبو بکر بن أبي شيبة وعمرو الناقد وزهير بن حرب کلهم عن ابن عيينة قال زهير حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة حدثنا الزهري عن سالم عن أبيه عن النبي صلی الله عليه وسلم قال لا حسد إلا في اثنتين رجل آتاه الله القرآن فهو يقوم به آنا الليل وآنا النهار ورجل آتاه الله مالا فهو ينفقه آنا الليل وآنا النهار

 ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ، عمرو ناقد، زہیر بن حرب، ابن عیینہ، زہیر، سفیان بن عیینہ، زہری، حضرت سالم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنے باپ سے روایت کرتے ہوئے فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ دو آدمیوں کے سوا کسی پر حسد کرنا جائز نہیں ایک وہ آدمی کہ جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے قرآن مجید عطا فرمایا ہو اور وہ رات دن اس پر عمل کرنے کے ساتھ اس کی تلاوت کرتا ہو اور وہ آدمی کہ جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے مال عطا فرمایا ہو اور وہ رات اور دن اسے اللہ کے راستہ میں خرچ کرتا ہو۔

Salim narrated on the authority of his father (Ibn 'Umar) that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Envy is not justified but in case of two persons only: one who, having been given (knowledge of) the Qur'an by Allah, recites it during the night and day (and also acts upon it) and a man who, having been given wealth by God, spends it during the night and the day (for the welfare of others. seeking the pleasure of the Lord).
