Friday Nasiha ******************************** ~ Backbiting ~ (Gheebah) ( In the Light of Qur'an and Hadith )  Allah Subhanu Wa Ta'ala Says,  { Al-Qur'an: Surah-49 ~Hujurat ~ Ayah-12 } Interpretation of meaning in English: Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it... (so abhore the backbiting) But fear Allah. For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. Interpretation of meaning in Roman Urdu: Aae imaan walon! Shak aur shubhaat se jiss qadar mumkin ho bacho; kiyonke shubhaat kuch halaton mein gunaah hote hain: aur ek doosre ki jasoosi unnke peeth peeche na kiya karo. Kiya tum mein se koyee apne murdah bhai ka ghost khana pasand karega? Bilkul nahi, tum sub intehayi na-pasand karo ge (iss liye Gheebat ko bhi intihaayi na-pasand karo) aur Allah se daro, Allah 'Tauba qubool karne waale' aur 'Rahem karne waale' hain. ********************************************** Hadith Difference between 'Slandering' and 'Backbiting' Aboo Hurayrah (RadiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa'sallam) said, "Do you know what backbiting is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He (Sallallahu alaihi wa'sallam) then said, "It is to say something about your brother that he would dislike." Someone asked him, "But what if what I say is true?" The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa'sallam) said, "If what you say about him is true, you are backbiting him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him."
