حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسیٰ عن إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن البرائ رضي الله عنه قال بينما رجل من أصحاب النبي صلی الله عليه وسلم يقرأ وفرس له مربوط في الدار فجعل ينفر فخرج الرجل فنظر فلم ير شيئا وجعل ينفر فلما أصبح ذکر ذلک للنبي صلی الله عليه وسلم فقال السکينة تنزلت بالقرآن

  عبیداللہ بن موسی، اسرائیل، ابواسحاق، براء سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ایک بار رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ایک صحابی قرات کر رہے تھے اور ان کا گھوڑا گھر میں بندھا ہوا تھا کہ وہ بھاگنے لگا باہر نکل کر دیکھا تو کچھ نظر نہ آیا وہ گھوڑا بدک رہا تھا جب صبح ہوئی تو یہ واقعہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیان کیا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ یہی سکینہ ہے جو قرات قرآن کے وقت نازل ہوتی ہے۔ 

Narrated Al-Bara: 

While a man from the companions of the Prophet was reciting (Quran) and his horse was tied in the house, the horse got startled and started jumping. The man came out, looked around but could not find anything, yet the horse went on jumping. The next morning he mentioned that to the Prophet. 

The Prophet said, "That was the tranquility (calmness) which descended because of the recitation of the Quran."

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith No. 1983

حدثنا ابن المثنی وابن بشار واللفظ لابن المثنی قالا حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحق قال سمعت البرا يقولا قرأ رجل الکهف وفي الدار دابة فجعلت تنفر فنظر فإذا ضبابة أو سحابة قد غشيته قال فذکر ذلک للنبي صلی الله عليه وسلم فقال اقرأ فلان فإنها السکينة تنزلت عند القرآن أو تنزلت للقرآن

صحیح مسلم:جلد اول:حدیث نمبر 1851     حدیث مرفوع    مکررات 7 متفق علیہ 6  

 ابن مثنی، ابن بشار، محمد بن جعفر، شعبہ، ابواسحاق ، حضرت براء فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی سورت الکہف پڑھ رہا تھا اور اس کے گھر میں ایک جانور تھا اچانک وہ جانور بدکنے لگا اس نے دیکھا کہ ایک بادل نے اس ڈھانپا ہوا ہے اس آدمی نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اس کا ذکر کیا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ قرآن پڑھو کیونکہ یہ سکینہ ہے جو قرآن کی تلاوت کے وقت نازل ہوتی ہے۔

Ibn Ishaq reported: I heard al-Bara' as saying that a man recited al-Kahf when an animal was there in the house and it began to take fright. And as he looked around, he found a cloud overshadowing it. He mentioned that to the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him). Upon this he said: O so and so, recite on (the surah) as- Sakina descends at the (recitation of the Qur'an) or on account (of the recitation) of the Qur'an.

Sahih Muslim, Volume 1, Hadith No. 1851

حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود أنبأنا شعبة عن أبي إسحق قال سمعت البرا بن عازب يقول بينما رجل يقرأ سورة الکهف إذ رأی دابته ترکض فنظر فإذا مثل الغمامة أو السحابة فأتی رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم فذکر ذلک له فقال النبي صلی الله عليه وسلم تلک السکينة نزلت مع القرآن أو نزلت علی القرآن وفي الباب عن أسيد بن حضير قال أبو عيسی هذا حديث حسن صحيح

جامع ترمذی:جلد دوم:حدیث نمبر 810     حدیث مرفوع    مکررات 7 

 محمود بن غیلان، ابوداؤد، شعبة، ابواسحاق، حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص سورت کہف پڑھ رہا تھا کہ اس نے اپنی سواری کو کودتے ہوئے دیکھا۔ پھر آسمان کی طرف دیکھا تو وہاں ایک بدلی کی طرح کوئی چیز تھی۔ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور قصہ بیان کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا یہ سکینہ (اطمینان) تھا جو قرآن کے ساتھ نازل ہوا یا فرمایا قران کے اوپر نازل ہوا۔ یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔ اور اس باب میں اسید بن حضیر سے بھی روایت ہے۔

Sayyidina Bara (RA) reported that while a man was reciting surah al-Kahf, he observed his animal jump. He looked and indeed, something like a cloud was near. He went to Allah's Messenger (SAW) and mentioned that to him. He said, "This is sakinah (tranquility) that descends with the Qur'an or descends on the Qur'an."
