حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالک عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم قال الصيام جنة فلا يرفث ولا يجهل وإن امرؤ قاتله أو شاتمه فليقل إني صائم مرتين والذي نفسي بيده لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله تعالی من ريح المسک يترک طعامه وشرابه وشهوته من أجلي الصيام لي وأنا أجزي به والحسنة بعشر أمثالها

عبداللہ بن مسلمہ، مالک، ابوالزناد، اعرج، حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ روزہ ڈھال ہے، اس لیے نہ تو بری بات کرے اور نہ جہالت کی بات کرے اگر کوئی شخص اس سے جھگڑا کرے یا گالی گلوچ کرے تو کہہ دے میں روزہ دار ہوں، دوبار کہہ دے۔ قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ میں میری جان ہے کہ روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے نزدیک مشک کی خوشبو سے بہتر ہے وہ کھانا پینا اور اپنی مرغوب چیزوں کو روزوں کی خاطر چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور میں اس کا بدلہ دیتا ہوں اور نیکی دس گنا ملتی ہے۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times."

حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسیٰ أخبرنا هشام بن يوسف عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني عطائ عن أبي صالح الزيات أنه سمع أبا هريرة رضي الله عنه يقول قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم قال الله کل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصيام فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به والصيام جنة وإذا کان يوم صوم أحدکم فلا يرفث ولا يصخب فإن سابه أحد أو قاتله فليقل إني امرؤ صائم والذي نفس محمد بيده لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسک للصائم فرحتان يفرحهما إذا أفطر فرح وإذا لقي ربه فرح بصومه

ابراہیم بن موسی، ہشام بن یوسف، ابن جریج، عطاء، ابوصالح زیات ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا انسان کے ہر عمل کا بدلہ ہے، مگر روزہ کہ وہ خاص میرے لئے ہے اور میں ہی اس کا بدلہ دیتا ہوں اور روزہ ڈھال ہے۔ جب تم میں سے کسی کے روزے کا دن ہو، تو نہ شور مچائے اور نہ فحش باتیں کرے اگر کوئی شخص اس سے جھگڑا کرے یا گالی گلوچ کرے تو کہہ دے میں روزہ دار آدمی ہوں اور قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ میں محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کی جان ہے روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے ہاں مشک کی خوشبو سے زیادہ بہتر ہے روزہ دار کو دو خوشیاں حاصل ہوتی ہیں، جب افطار کرتا ہے۔ تو خوش ہوتا ہے اور جب اپنے رب سے ملے گا تو روزہ کے سبب سے خوش ہوگا۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Allah said, 'All the deeds of Adam's sons (people) are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.' Fasting is a shield or protection from the fire and from committing sins. If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual relation with his wife and quarreling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel with him, he should say, 'I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Hands my soul is' The unpleasant smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. There are two pleasures for the fasting person, one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time when he will meet his Lord; then he will be pleased because of his fasting."

و حدثني محمد بن رافع حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني عطا عن أبي صالح الزيات أنه سمع أبا هريرة رضي الله عنه يقولا قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم قال الله عز وجل کل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصيام فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به والصيام جنة فإذا کان يوم صوم أحدکم فلا يرفث يومذ ولا يسخب فإن سابه أحد أو قاتله فليقل إني امرؤ صام والذي نفس محمد بيده لخلوف فم الصام أطيب عند الله يوم القيامة من ريح المسک وللصام فرحتان يفرحهما إذا أفطر فرح بفطره وإذا لقي ربه فرح بصومه

محمد بن رافع، عبدالرزاق، ابن جریج، عطاء، ابی صالح، حضرت اب صالح زیات سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ عزوجل فرماتے ہیں کہ ابن آدم کا ہر عمل روزوں کا علاوہ اسی کے لئے ہے اور روزہ خاص میرے لئے ہے اور میں ہی روزوں کا بدلہ دوں گا اور روزہ ڈھال ہے تو جب تم میں سے کوئی روزہ رکھے تو وہ اس دن نہ بے ہودہ گفتگو کرے اور نہ کوئی فحش کام کرے اور اگر کوئی اسے گالی دے یا اس سے جھگڑے تو اسے چاہئے کہ وہ آگے سے کہہ دے کہ میں روزہ سے ہوں میں روزہ سے ہوں قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی جان ہے کہ روزہ رکھنے والے کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے ہاں قیامت کے دن مشک کی خوشبو سے زیادہ خوشبودار ہوگا اور روزہ رکھنے والے کے لئے دو خوشیاں ہیں جس کی وجہ سے وہ خوش ہوگا جب روزہ افطار کرتا ہے تو وہ اپنی اس افطاری سے خوش ہوتا ہے جب وہ اپنے رب سے ملے گا تو وہ اپنے روزہ سے خوش ہوگا۔
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting. It is (exclusively) meant for Me and I (Alone) will reward it. Fasting is a shield. When any one of you is fasting on a day, he should neither indulge in obscene language, nor raise the voice; or if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him he should say: I am a person fasting. By Him, in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah on the Day of judgment than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts has two (occasions) of joy, one when he breaks the fast he is glad with the breaking of (the fast) and one when he meets his Lord he is glad with his fast.

و حدثنا أبو بکر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو معاوية ووکيع عن الأعمش ح و حدثنا زهير بن حرب حدثنا جرير عن الأعمش ح و حدثنا أبو سعيد الأشج واللفظ له حدثنا وکيع حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم کل عمل ابن آدم يضاعف الحسنة عشر أمثالها إلی سبعماة ضعف قال الله عز وجل إلا الصوم فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به يدع شهوته وطعامه من أجلي للصام فرحتان فرحة عند فطره وفرحة عند لقا ربه ولخلوف فيه أطيب عند الله من ريح المسک

ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ، ابومعاویہ، وکیع، اعمش، زہیر بن حرب، جریر، اعمش، ابوسعید، وکیع، اعمش، ابی صالح، حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ابن آدم کے ہر عمل میں سے نیک عمل کو دس گنا تک بڑھا دیا جاتا ہے۔ اللہ نے فرمایا سوائے روزے کے کیونکہ وہ میرے لئے ہے اور میں ہی اس کا بدلہ دوں گا کیونکہ روزہ رکھنے والا میری وجہ سے اپنی شہوت اور اپنے کھانے سے رکا رہتا ہے۔ روزہ رکھنے والے کے لئے دوخوشیاں ہیں ایک اسے افطاری کے وقت خوشی حاصل ہوتی ہے اور دوسری خوشی اپنے رب عزوجل سے ملاقات کے وقت حاصل ہوگی اور روزہ رکھنے والے کے منہ کی بو اللہ عزوجل کے ہاں مشک کی خوشبو سے زیادہ پاکیزہ (خوشبودار) ہے۔
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Every (good) deed of the son of Adam would be multiplied, a good deed receiving a tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, has said: With the exception of fasting, for it is done for Me and I will give a reward for it, for one abandons his passion and food for My sake. There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts, joy when he breaks it, and joy when he meets his Lord, and the breath (of an observer of fast) is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
