(1) Islaamic History
From the progeny of Hadhrat Umar (RA), Hadhrat Shah Wali'ullaah Muhaddith Dehlawi (RA) was born in the year 1114 A.H.
He started his education at the age of 5 and was only 15 when he had memorised the Qur'aan as well as completed his education in all the books that were taught at the time in India.
He pledged allegiance to his father, Shah Abdur Raheem (RA), at the age of 14 and was appointed his successor at the age of 17 when his father had passed away.
He started teaching Ahadeeth in the year 1145 after returning from Hajj and was surrounded by a large crowd of students in a short while.
This was the foundation of a Daarul Uloom.
Amongst the feats he accomplished was the revival of Deen in India, propagation of the Deen and Shari'ah as well as educating people about the objectives and the wisdom behind the injunctions of the Shari'ah.
He passed away in Delhi at the age of 62 in the year 1176 A.H. He is buried there as well.
Amongst his many accomplishments was his translation of the Qur'aan. In fact, he always emphasised listening to the meaning of the Qur'aan.

(2) Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)'s Miracle
Hadhrat Anas (RA) says that he has never smelt any ambergris, musk, or any other perfume more fragrant than the fragrance that exuded from the body of Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).
[Muslim 6053]
Hadhrat Aa'isha (RA) reports that whenever any person shook the hand of Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), his hand remained fragrant all day and whenever Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) passed his hand over the head of a child, the child's head remained fragrant all day. [Bayhaqi 238]
----

(3) A Fardh
Allaah says in the Qur'aan, "Verily, Allaah instructs you to (amicably) return trusts (that others place in your care) to their rightful owners".
[Surah Nisaa, verse 58]
• If someone has in his possession an item that belongs to another person, it is Fardh for him to return the item to the owner
----

(4) A Sunnah
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to recite the following Du'aa:

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لَّا يَخْشَعُ ، وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَا يَسْمَعُ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ
لَّا تَشْبَعُ، وَمِنْ عِلْمٍ لَّا يَنْفَعُ، أَعُوذُبِكَ مِنْ هٰؤُلَاءِ الْأَرْبَعِ

TRANSLATION: O Allaah! I seek Your protection from a heart that does not submit, from a Du'aa that is not granted, from a soul that is not satiated and from knowledge that does not benefit. I seek Your protection from these four.
[Tirmidhi 3482, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Amr (RA)]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said that a person will be immune from Jahannam if he calls out the Adhaan for seven years with sincerity.
[Tirmidhi 206, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA)]
----

(6) A Sin
Allaah says in the Qur'aan, "(Allaah has also commanded) That you do not kill (abort) your children for fear of poverty (fearing that you will become poor by providing for them). We provide for you and for them as well (even though you may be poor)".
[Surah An'aam, verse 151]
 •
Allaah has taken upon Himself the responsibility of providing for people. It is Haraam and a grave sin to have an abortion done or to adopt birth control measures merely for fear of poverty.
----

(7) This World
Allaah says in the Qur'aan, "Indeed these people (the Kuffaar) love the world and leave behind them (have no concern for) a weighty day (the Day of Qiyaamah)". Their love for this world made them so blind that they have no concern for the Aakhirah and have made no preparations for it whereas this is the purpose of their lives in this world.
[Surah Dahar, verse 27]
----

(8) An Important Act and its Virtue
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said that Allaah will say on the Day of Qiyaamah, "I shall remove from Jahannam every such Mu'min who ever thought of Me or ever feared Me."
[Tirmidhi 2594, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]
----

(9) Cures from the Qur'aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) advised the use of dates to kill abdominal worms.
[Musnad Firdous]
----

(10) Advice from Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "While solitude is better than an evil companion, a good companion is better than solitude. While a good word is better than silence, silence is better than an evil word."
[Bayhaqi 4784, from Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA)]
