حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وکيع حدثنا حماد بن نجيح وکان ثقة عن أبي عمران الجوني عن جندب بن عبد الله قال کنا مع النبي صلی الله عليه وسلم ونحن فتيان حزاورة فتعلمنا الإيمان قبل أن نتعلم القرآن ثم تعلمنا القرآن فازددنا به إيمانا

سنن ابن ماجہ:جلد اول:حدیث نمبر 61    حدیث مرفوع  مکررات 1 

 علی بن محمد، وکیع، حماد بن نجیح، ابوعمران جونی، حضرت جندب بن عبداللہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم نوجوانی کی حالت میں جناب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہے ہم نے ایمان سیکھ لیا قبل اس کے قرآن سیکھیں پھر ہم نے قرآن سیکھا اس کی وجہ سے ہم ایمان میں بڑھ گئے۔

 It was narrated that Jundub bin 'Abdullâh said: "We were with the Prophet(p.b.u.h) , and we were strong youths, so we learned faith before we learned the Qur'ân. Then we learned the Qur'ân and our faith increased thereby." (Sahih)
