Tere intizaar ki rait pe,
Koi lafz mene likha na tha,
Koi harf mene kaha na tha,
Koi khwaab mene chuna na tha,

Isi intizaar ki rait pe,
Meri arzoo k gulaab thay,
Meri justajoo k saraab thay,
Sabhi chahton k jawab thay,

Sabhi hasraten wo kahan gaein,
Teri chahten wo kahan gaein,

Mere humnasheen mere humnawa,
Main palat k shayed na aa sakoon,

Isi intizaar ki rait pe,
Men bikhar gya hoon hawaon men,
Mujhe yaad rakhna duwaoon men,
MUJHE YAAD RAKHNA DUAAON MEN.
