Jaane kyun apni hansi aap urhana chahoon
Dil ki her baat zamaane ko sunana chahoon

Usko khushboo ki tarha sath bhi rakhna apne
aur phir usko zamaaney se chupana chahoon

koi bacchha mere ander bhi chhupa betha he
Rooth jata hoon, men jab usko manana chahoon

He muhabbat to muhabbat ke kya hen ma'aney
Men to Milne ko faqat ek bahana chahoon

Ek machhli ki tarha jaal men aaya hoon men
Aur phansta hoon jo ab khud ko chhurhana chahoon

Ek uljhan men mujhe daal dia he us ne
chhorh paaoon, na apna banana chahoon

Mujh ko bhi hen kuch yaad purani baaten
Bhool ker bhi na jinhen men to bhulna chahoon
